The short version

We check the claims against the label, price everything per day and per year, and publish the gap between the ad and the experience. Every guide gets an editorial review for clarity, sourcing, and consistency before it goes live.

What we do for every product we cover

  1. Read the label and the claims. What it says it does, what is actually in it, and what the fine print admits.
  2. Price it honestly. Cost per day and per year, including the subscription you will forget to cancel. Monthly numbers are designed to look small.
  3. Read long-term user reviews. Not launch-week excitement: what people say after three months of actual use.
  4. Compare against real alternatives. Including cheaper options and the free option of doing nothing.
  5. Revisit on change. Formulas, prices, and subscriptions shift. We update the major guides and date every article.

What we do not do

  • We do not repeat miracle claims. No evidence, no pass.
  • We do not take paid placements. Rankings cannot be bought.
  • We do not play doctor. Our guides are product research, not medical advice.

Our scoring rubric

When we score products, we weight four factors:

  • Value: 30%. What you get for the price, including free tiers and long-term costs.
  • Features: 30%. How complete the feature set is for the job.
  • Owner feedback: 25%. Patterns from long-term user reports, not single anecdotes.
  • Support and warranty: 15%. Help quality, guarantees, and company track record.

Ratings are editorial judgments based on research, not lab-test measurements.
